Formal Introductions...

OK, now I believe I am on the right track on getting this blog thing going.  I am currently employed by Sonora ISD, in Sonora, TX.  My husband and I have been married for 13 years and we have an 11 year old daughter that is in 5th grade.  This is my 10th year to teach.  For the past 9 years I have taught 5th grade social studies and I loved it!  This year I am teaching Art for kindergarten through 4th grade.  Talk about a culture shock! Those kinder kids really keep me on my toes! 
I am currently working on my master's in Guidance and Counseling.  I plan to finish up this August and walk in December.  I don't know if a counseling position will be available in Sonora anytime soon but at least I will be prepared when one does!  If there is not a counseling position available then I have thought about continuing classes for the diagnostician's certification.  There is still plenty of time to decide what to do...

I think I about have this set up now after deleting my account and starting over about 3 times!
